I am saddened to learn of Barbara's passing. She was my joyous 6th grade teacher and she and her husband Jim were friends with my family for a very, very long time, 40 plus years. We all loved her and I cherish the memory of her visit here to Illinois several years ago. Barbara and her wisdom and laughter will always be in my thoughts.
