Edward Majewski

Edward "Eddie" Majewski, age 49, of Middletown and previously of Stratford, passed into eternal peace on September 24, 2010, at Lord Chamberlain Manor in Stratford. He was born on July 4, 1961.

Eddie grew up in Stratford, attended Our Lady of Grace and Holy Name of Jesus Schools. After attending Stratford High School, he worked for many years as a cook in local restaurants. He was dearly loved and was an extraordinary human being. He faced many challenges in his life, but his sense of humor and compassion for others were always immense. He was a person of exemplary courage and strength throughout his illness.

Eddie was predeceased by his father, Anthony S. Majewski. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Helen and Wendell Stagg of Stratford, his sister Elaine Jones and her husband Tracy Smith of Middletown, his brother Eric Majewski and his wife Claudia of Guilford, his sister Ellen R. Majewski of Milford, his nephews, Adam Jones of Maine and Andrew Majewski of Guilford and a niece, Robin Gosselin of New Hampshire. The family would like to thank the nurses and health aids of the VNA and the staff at Lord Chamberlain Manor for the care that they gave Eddie.

Ed had a passion for dogs and volunteered his time visiting dogs at the local shelter who were awaiting adoption. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Middletown Animal Control located at 222 Main St., Middletown, CT 06457.


Friends and family are encouraged to attend a memorial mass on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. at Saint James Roman Catholic Church located at 2070 Main Street in Stratford. Notes of condolence or remembrance may be submitted online at http://www.newenglandcremation.com
