MERIDEN – Erva Therrien, 73, died July 12, 2009 at her home. She was the wife of the late Ernest Therrien.
She was born in Laconia, NH on October 1, 1935, a daughter of the late Carl and Etta Clapper Greenwood.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by International Silver and ran the First Quality Bakery which later became known as Estes Bakery.
She is survived by two daughters, Estelle Tresselt of Meriden and Becky Nonnembacker of RI, a son, Rod Therrien of Meriden, her grandchildren, Sean, Eric and Dustin Tresselt, Suzanne Therrien, and Jeremy and Brian LaRose, a great grandchild, Jayden Tressalt, her sisters, Leona Bouchard, Priscilla Cornish, Carlena Gonyea, Linda Bouchard, and Diane Voitkevics, two brothers, Marshall Greenwood and Gary Dame, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 6:00 pm at the chapel of the Brookside Crematory, 453 Christian Ln., Berlin, CT. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions in her memory be made to VNA Healthcare, 50 Brookside Rd., Waterbury, CT 06708.
