Frederick Arthur Nielsen, Jr., of Chester, CT passed away on Oct 31. Fred was born on July 13, 1954. He was the son of the late Frederick A. Nielsen and the late Frances Bombaci Nielsen. He is survived by his sister Mary Nielsen and her partner Robert Seaquist. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Sarro, her husband Richard, and their 3 children.
Fred graduated from VRHS in 1972 and from UCONN with a BS in Geography in 1982.
He worked various jobs utilizing his mechanical aptitude and recently enjoyed part-time work as a Warm Line Operator. Fred was an active member of the Deep River Baptist Church. He received support and acceptance from the church community and was an active volunteer in the church kitchen.
Fred will be missed by his family and friends, and is at peace now.
There will be a memorial service held on Sat. November 17 at 11:00 at the Deep River Baptist Church, 24 River Street, Deep River, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Deep River Baptist Church.
