Georgia Elizabeth Parrott MacInnis, 72, of Simsbury, passed on December 16, 2012.
A native of New Bern, NC, Georgia ventured to Manhattan at the age of 19 to study ballet and dance professionally, eventually finding her way to Simsbury where she continued to live her life fully.
A non-conformist by nature, her creative ways were refreshing and inspiring. Georgia will be remembered most for her captivating storytelling, infectious laughter, and positive outlook on life.
She is survived by children and their families, David and Allison MacInnis and their children, Elissa, David and Kyle of Avon, CT; Dana MacInnis and her children, Vada and John of Clinton, WA; Sheryl MacInnis and Matt Calabro and their children, Georgia and Rose of Canton, CT. She is also survived by her brothers and their families, Seth (Hap) and Nancy Parrott of New Bern, NC, and Lane and Sheila Parrott of Alliance, NC.
In lieu of flowers, and in honoring Georgia's love for the ballet, donations may be made to The Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, 58 Main Street, Torrington, CT, 06790.
