Malvina Karwoski

Malvina Karwoski, 86, of Bolton, CT died on December 24, 2010 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Georgianna Lemay. She was the wife of the late Daniel J. Karwoski, Sr. Born May 3, 1924 in Bristol, CT where she lived most of her life before moving to Bolton to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

She is survived by her beloved children, Donna Mangum of Aurora, CO, Barbara Walker and husband Adrian of Kingston, Ontario Canada, Daniel Karwoski, Jr. and wife Susan of Hyannis, MA, Malvin Karwoski and wife Gail of Monroe, CT, Irene Zimmer and husband Eric of Safety Harbor, FL and Veronica Szewc and husband Stan of Bolton, CT. Her brothers Raymond Lemay of Kissimmee, FL and George Lemay and wife Liz of Unionville, CT. Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Doris, Edward, Julia, Mary and Lodia.

Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years as an inspector at Hamilton Standard in Farmington, CT where she received a "Snoopy" award for her work on the guidance system of the Apollo 13 lunar module. She loved reading, bird watching, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her cat, Missy.

There are no calling hours. It is suggested that contributions in her memory be made to The Hazel K. Goddess Fund for Stroke Research in Women, www.thegoddessfund.org.
The Cremation Society of New England has been entrusted with the arrangements.
