Natalie S. Maxson , 83, of Stonington, CT, passed away on Monday, April 16 after an extended illness.
Born in Wakefield, MA on July 12, 1928, to the late William and Gladys Singleton Natalie graduated from Wakefield High School in 1946 and then in 1948 from Kathleen Dell Business School in Brookline, MA. She married the late Donald G. Maxson Jr. from Mystic, CT in September 1960, and they raised their sons in Ledyard, CT. In 1984 they relocated to Stonington, CT.
After graduating from Kathleen Dell, Natalie worked as an executive secretary in the America Fore Insurance Group in Boston where she met Donald. She was not one to sit idle and so when her children were old enough she went back to work as a secretary. An avid cook, Natalie delighted friends and family with her culinary skills and her baking. Natalie and Donald were active in the Ledyard Congregational Church and were members of the choir.
She is survived by her sons Philip and Roger and his wife Kimberly and their children Jeffrey and Samantha.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 on Saturday morning, April 28 at the Ledyard Congregational Church in Ledyard Center.
