Pamela Harris

Bridgeport - Pamela Jane Harris, 46, of Bridgeport died on Saturday July 25, 2009 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the loving wife of James Harris, and dedicated mother of Devin 16, Gregory 15, and Chase 12.



Pamela was born in Norwalk on August 28, 1962. She married James Harris, her childhood sweetheart, on April 30, 1983, and later moved to Bridgeport. Pamela enjoyed her work at John Winthrop K-8 School in Bridgeport. She enjoyed volunteering and was always available to lend an extra pair of hands, especially to a child or stray animal. Her kind heart and devotion will be missed by all who knew her.



Pamela sadly left behind her husband and three children after a long struggle with leukemia. Pamela is also survived by her mother and father, Joan Ford Kling and Oscar Kling, both of Norwalk. She is sadly missed by her eight siblings, Lorraine Montross, Douglas Kling and Gregory Kling all of Norwalk, Robert Kling of Shelton, Dawn Barrett of Bethel, Beth-Anne Mitchell of Danbury, James Kling of Fairfield, and David Kling of West Haven. Pamela is also survived by numerous loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.



Pamela will be remembered with a celebration of her life on Saturday August 1, 2009. Calling hours are 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in Pam’s Garden; 10 Oxford Street Bridgeport, CT 06606. A private family memorial will follow. In lieu of flowers donations are appreciated to the “Harris family” c/o Lorraine Montross 12 Regency Drive, Norwalk, CT 06851. The Cremation Society of New England was entrusted with arrangements.
