Surrounded by his loved ones, Robert G. (Bob) Adams, 61, went home to be with his Lord and savior on Sept. 15, 2017, after a long illness.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Angela (Carrubba) Adams, and his children, Jonathan Adams and wife, Wendy, and his daughter, Ann Marie (Adams) Vieira and husband, Luke. He also leaves his sister, Patricia McDonnell of Naugatuck, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Prajer.
Bob attended Seymour public schools and was a proud member of the class of 1973. Later in life, he graduated from New England School of the Bible. Devoted to his family and church, he was a longtime active member of Central Baptist Church in Southington. There he was involved in children’s ministries for many years. Having a true servant’s heart, he delighted in keeping the church building clean. He loved to travel, especially to the Caribbean, with his wife. During his long illness, he maintained a unique sense of humor which will be fondly remembered by all.
A memorial service to celebrate his home going will be Saturday, Sept. 23, 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 1505 West St., Southington. Friends may call on the family beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.
