Robert A. Walker Jr. of Middletown, CT passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. Robert was born January 24, 1948 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Robert A. Walker Sr. and Dorothy Dodson Walker of Martinsville, Virginia.
He grew up in Newburgh, New York and graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1967. He was employed as a Machinist for over 40 years at Greenwald Industries and retired from there in 2015.
He is survived by son Robert A. Walker III of Newburgh, New York and daughter Shana Y. Walker of Reistertown , Maryland, five grandchildren: Sian, Tavistla, Romero, Airus and Tiana, brother Roderick Dodson of Jamaica Queens, New York and sister Ardelia Thurston of Martinsville, Virginia and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held on September 9, 2017 at the Walker family gravesite in Martinsville, Virginia. The family will meet friends for departure to the gravesite at the home of sister Ardelia Thurston, 755 Stultz Road, Apt. 1006, Martinsville, Virginia, 24112 at 1 p.m.
