David Kenneth Merrill Sr, 90, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at Marshwood Center in Lewiston, Maine. David was born October 18, 1935, in Bridgeport, Conn.   Cynthia Smedick (née Chant), 74, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026. A long-time resident of Plainville, CT, she and her husband Daniel Smedick were active members of the local community, where she served for many years as a school crossing guard for the Plainville Police Department.   Gale Jones Balavender of Salem died peacefully at Backus Hospital on Sunday, May 31. She was born in Hartford to the late Beverly Jones France and David Lee Jones.
